Linc-Ed

This year we have launched our new online student management system, Linc-Ed.

You can use this system to see your child's progress and reports and also to see your school account and all the emails and notices that have been sent out to you.

Our aim has been to implement a robust system that allows teachers, parents, and students to access learning in an online environment that is secure, easy, and effective.

In terms of security, Linc-Ed commissioned Andrew Horton, an Internet security expert, to write a report on the security features of the system. Andrew reported that the system was “as secure as some banks”.

Linc-Ed allows teachers to share learning anytime, anywhere and this can be viewed on any device. We are excited about the potential that the software offers. The report is designed to build term on term, and year on year so that over time you will have access to comments, assessments, images, video and helpful resources all in one place.

New Entrants to Year 3 reporting:

This will remain as it has always been, with teachers reporting on progress and achievement at your child's 20, 40, 60, 80, 100 and 120 anniversary of their date of starting school.  The only difference is that the reports will now be uploaded to Linc-Ed rather than sent home to you in a paper format.

Year 4 to 8 reporting:

Previously we have reported to you at mid-year and at the end of the year.  This year it's different.  The staff and students in Year 4-8 have been posting rich content to our Linc-Ed site and we are excited to share this with you and involve you in your child’s learning journey.

It is our intention to set a plan of what will be reported each term, and share that with you at the start of the year.  In 2017 our reporting plan looks like this:

Term One:

Reading and Writing

Term Two:

Maths

Legend Goal (Adventurer, Thinker or Creator)

National Standards Slider set in reading, writing and maths

Term Three:

Reading, writing  and Legend (Adventurer, Thinker or Creator)

Term Four:

Maths

Legend Goal (Adventurer, Thinker or Creator)

National Standards Slider set in reading, writing and maths

Your child may also have some reporting from 2016 when teachers were learning how to use Linc-Ed.
